Hello! My name is Matthew, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as your future Software Engineer! I’m in the exciting process of transitioning from a decade-long career in teaching to the world of software engineering.

As a dedicated educator, I’ve spent the last ten years nurturing my students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. However, my passion for technology and its limitless possibilities has always inspired me to explore new avenues. Driven by my love for learning and desire to step out of my comfort zone, I made the decision to shift my career path toward software engineering.

I embarked on this journey in early 2021, diving into various programming languages such as JavaScript and Python. I owe much of my progress to 100Devs and Leon Noel, whose training agency played a pivotal role in helping me secure my first client. To further enhance my problem-solving and logical thinking capabilities, I am currently pursuing my second Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering (Java Track) at Western Governors University.

I am confident that my unique background will make me a valuable asset in this new field. I aim to leverage my teaching experience to simplify complex software concepts for others and collaborate with fellow developers to create innovative solutions.
