Who I am

Hi, My name is Matthew, but you can call me your next Software Engineer! I am excited to be making the transition from teaching to software engineering. For the past 9 years, I have been a dedicated and passionate teacher, helping students develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. However, I have always been fascinated by technology and the endless possibilities it presents. I enjoy learning new things and pushing myself out of my comfort zone, so I decided to make a career change into software engineering.

I started this journey at the beginning of 2022, studying various programming languages such as JavaScript and Python. I owe my progress to 100Devs and Leon Noel. His training agency help me land my first client. I have been honing my problem solving and logical thinking skills, which I believe will be a valuable assets in my new endeavor. I am excited to use my teaching experience to help other understand complex software concepts and to collaborate with other developers to build innovative solutions. Please take a look at my client and sample sites I have create. I look forward in making an impact in the technology industry and continue to make a difference in the lives of others.

Velvet Pumpkin Portraits

This was a very special build for me. My wife has been a hobbyist photographer for years, and after taking some formal training her skills improved exponentially. She wanted a basic site that showcased her pictures and would be able to have clients schedule her for sessions. Her end goal is to be a volunteer photographer for a non-profit and community outreach. I hope this portfolio will help her achieve this.

Victoria Botello Originals

The goal of the website was to showcase the photographer's portfolio of stunning and timeless images, as well as provide information about the services they offer. I worked closely with the photographer to understand their vision and create a website that truly reflected their style and personality. The website features a clean and modern design, with easy navigation and a responsive layout that looks great on all devices!

Ultimate Storage

I recently created a website for a storage unit company, which is aimed at making it easier for customers to find their three locations. The website features a user-friendly interface that allows customers to easily browse available units, compare prices, and pay online. It also provides detailed information about the different storage unit sizes, features, and amenities available. Overall, my goal with this website was to create a seamless and hassle-free experience for anyone in need of storage space, and I'm proud to have helped the company achieve that goal.

John Livas Personal Site

The website features a home page linked to articles about John's career. I also included links in the menu to an 'About Me' page, his social media accounts and contact form to make it easy for employers to get in touch. Overall, this personal website has been a valuable tool for promoting his skills and building his online presence.

Solid State Barber Sample Site

One of the websites that I recently had the pleasure of working on was a sample barbershop website. I showcased their services and provided information about their team. The website features a services page, an opportunity for an online booking system, and a contact form to make it easy for customers to schedule appointments and get in touch

Landed Bakery Sample Site

One of the websites that I am most proud of is the sample bakery website that I created. The goal of the website was to provide a virtual storefront for a small bakery, showcasing their delicious baked goods and offering information about their services. Overall, the bakery website was a rewarding project that resulted in a beautiful and functional online presence.
